Composer
Dan discovered an early love of composition during his teens, whilst teaching himself to play the guitar. He has since been living the dream, turning his love of music into a life-long passion. Determined to gain all the skills necessary to compose for the Hollywood A-List, Dan completed his undergraduate qualifications at the Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane and a Masters in Screen Composition at AFTRS, as well as attracting the mentorship of David Hirschfelder (Composer of films including Shine, Elizabeth, Australia).
Dan is now turning heads in his own right, having recently won the APRA Professional Development Award for Film and Television, and being one of only twelve participants across the globe to attend the ASCAP Film and Television Scoring Workshop in L.A. with Emmy Award winning composer Richard Bellis. Apart from jetsetting across the globe, Dan has scored over 25 short films, 3 feature films, a handful of TV series and various other projects ranging from television commercials to theatre. He has also recently orchestrated for composers such as John Powell (Green Zone, Jumper) and David Hirschfelder (Australia), and assisted AFI-Award winning composer Christopher Gordon on Daybreakers.
