Accidents Happen Orchestrations
Accidents Happen, the debut feature by director by Andrew Lancaster and staring Geena Davis in her first independent film, was released Australia wide last month. The comedy drama features yet another stylistically imaginative score by the 2 time AFI award winning composer Antony Partos, for which Studio Ripple had the pleasure to orchestrate. This long awaited film (its been many years in development) has been creating a stir amongst critics across Australia and the world.
Cane Toads : The Conquest
22 years after the release of “Cane Toads : An Unnatural History”, director Mark Lewis revisits the subject in 3D with “Cane Toads : The Conquest” – described as horror-documentary, the film premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and will appear at this years Sydney Film Festival. Read more

Filmmaker Ma makes Make Me
The new action short film by John Ma, Make Me, has been getting a tremendous reception at film festivals around the world. Angus O’Sullivan composed the innovative score for percussive instruments only, deliberately avoiding melodic material and instead developing more complex rhythms, which he recorded with renowned percussionist Murray Parker at Studio Ripple.
Launch at The Blackett Hotel

AFTRS study has great effect in Germany
The Porsche David Awards for student advertising spots are held annually in Germany. AFTRS has been very successful there this year with two of the 2007 Style & Effect TVs for Lipsmackers being accepted. MONSTER is one of only 10 finalists from students around the world and BLOSSOM is in the “Best of all Entries” section.
